A unique sound where Thai tradition and innovation intersect! The Paradise Bangkok Molam InternaHonal Band 's Japan tour will feature a spectacular lineup including Goma , Srirajah SoundSystem , Soi48 , and DJ MOOLA!
The paid event of Thai Festival Tokyo 2025 , "The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band Special Molam night of -Thai FesHval Tokyo 2025-" , will feature a spectacular live performance by this band that has thrilled festivals around the world, at Robin Club Omotesando on Saturday, May 10 , 2025 .
Since their formation in 2013 , The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band has captured the hearts of music fans by fusing the traditional music of the Isan region of northeastern Thailand, Molam, with modern elements such as funk, rock, electronic, and psychedelic. They have performed at major festivals around the world, including Glastonbury, Field Day, Boiler Room , and Fuji Rock Festival, and their sound, which has garnered enthusiastic support, is finally going to shake up Shibuya! Formed around DJ and music director Maj Sai , the band invites audiences into a trance-like state with their live performances full of groove, inspired by late-night sessions at their hometown Bangkok's Studio Lam . This Japan performance is a rare night where you can experience the " new traditional music " that is spreading from Asia to the world up close.
The special night will also be adorned by Srirajah SoundSystem, who are extremely popular in the Thai reggae dub scene and have pioneered the unique genre of "Molam Reggae" by fusing the traditional Thai music of Molam with reggae/dub. A super special guest from Japan will also be joining the festivities! GOMA , a didgeridoo player who is active around the world, will be making a special appearance. Since winning a competition in Australia in 1998 , his performances have been acclaimed at festivals around the world and are full of overwhelming energy that shakes the soul.
In addition, Soi48 , a curator /DJ unit that delves deeply into Asian music and connects the music cultures of Japan and Thailand, will be appearing! In their hands, the unknown world of Thai music will expand into a new groove. Enthusiasm is inevitable! And DJ MOOLA ( YANGGAO ), the owner of Nagoya's YANGGAO Shokudo, who loves Asian beats, will also liven up the night! Armed with the sensibility cultivated through living in Thailand and his unique disco and Asian sound sense, he will create a whirlpool of the night. Tradition evolves and transcends borders. Srirajah Sound System
Srirajah Sound System is a new reggae dub sound system and record label in the style of "Molam Reggae", a fusion of Thai traditional music "Molam" and reggae. Since being founded by Win of Srirajah Rockers in 2019 , it has continued to spread reggae and sound system culture in Thailand. In 2021 , it released two 7 -inch records, " Siam Punch " and " Si Phan Don Lovers Rock ", which fuse Thai traditional music (Molam from the Isan region) with reggae dub. In addition, they have hosted events featuring international artists such as Channel One Sound System ( UK ), IraHon Steppas ( UK ), Vibronics ( UK ), OBF (France), Prince Fa^y ( UK ) and Ital Soup (Italy), and are expanding their activities both domestically and internationally as Thailand's most important sound system culture.
GOMA
He is an artist and painter who uses the didgeridoo, a traditional instrument of the Australian Aboriginal people. He has released 14 original albums to date. In 1994 , he encountered the didgeridoo at a dance workshop, but due to the lack of information available, he went to Australia alone in 1997 to study. In 2002 , he returned to Japan from his travels around the world and released the album " Million Breath Orchestra ". The track was made entirely of the sound of the didgeridoo, and his advanced technique, which allows him to play everything from trance to breakbeats, and his highly original sense have earned him support from a wide range of people. In 2009 , when he was expanding his range of activities overseas, he was involved in a traffic accident and was diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, which caused him to suspend his activities. After the accident, he suddenly began to paint detailed pointillism paintings. In 2012 , the film "Flashback Memories 3D ", which features GOMA as the main character, won the Audience Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival. He has appeared in many festivals both in Japan and abroad. In 2019 , he published his first art book, " Monad ," in collaboration with poet Shuntaro Tanikawa. He is responsible for the entrance music and voice of the Hikaru Truck at the opening ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. He is the music director and in-play art for the 2022 stage play "Shukkujitsu Unshin."

A duo who convey the charm of Asia through DJing , writing, design and parties. They discover music in any format, including records, cassettes, CDs , VCDs and USBs they come across while traveling, and their interests range from old traditional music to cutting-edge dance music and music sources found on the Internet. In addition to supervising Kuzoku's film Bangkok Nights and EM Records ' Thai works, they convey the charm of Asian music and travel through talk shows, TV and radio appearances. Their books include TRIP TO ISAN: A Traveling Thai Isan Music Disc Guide (DU BOOKS) and OMK#001 (OMK) . They are currently researching local dance music and sound system culture in Asian countries.

Mura. Owner of Thai curry restaurant "YANGGAO" [read : Yanga-o / meaning : As usual]. Having lived in Bangkok, Thailand for six and a half years since 2010 , he interprets Thai food , music , fashion and culture from a local and independent perspective, and also designs his own souvenirs. He is a record lover and is active as a DJ .
